The design for the headquarters of Georgia-based Pond Studios addresses the client's desire to honor the company's environmental philosophy and responds to its densely wooded six-acre site. This product design company, a leader in sustainable design practices, works around the world with like-minded companies such as Interface, and the building is intended to inspire creative collaboration. The building complex comprises a two-level design and workspace center, which is divided by a sky-lit atrium that contains the reception area, houses product exhibits, and centralizes traffic routes. These buildings were arranged on the site to preserve a maximum area of second-generation pine forest.
