The clients had chosen a tiny spit of land in Michigan just a few blocks from the lakefront. The project included the house, septic field, a pool, and parking. The house is sited on a dune that rises thirty-five feet above the street, and we managed to carefully manipulate all the elements of the house to ensure a private and spacious retreat surrounded by nature. The house is used in all seasons and remains a quiet sanctuary for the family.
