The University of Chicago recognized as one of the world’s most accomplished and prestigious intellectual communities has focus efforts and development on the south side of campus through community outreach and building amenity programs. The SCPG building was planned to support newly completed and future projects for this zone of the campus and community access. The project site is 1.5 acres land located at 61st Street and Kimbark. The basic program for the building is 88,350 square feet of structured parking, athletic programs and community programs. A supplemental program of 68,000 sf on 2 floors is planned for a campus recreational center including multi-activity courts, fitness, multi-purpose rooms and administration.
